Although Gandhi's passion had the obvious historical impact of helping India become independent, his use of non-violence made him unique, a true revolutionary that has inspired the passion of a non-violent path to reform into many since. Other famous civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. have admitted to receiving inspiration from Gandhi's protests. Even after his death, the most amazing aspect of Gandhi's passion is the fact that it has helped and still does help people across the globe overcome the challenge of oppression. Additionally, while the passion for non-violent independence started as Gandhi's own, many people have pursued it since, allowing them to connect to Gandhi and each other in a much more intimate manner than they would otherwise. Gandhi's passion no longer encompasses just Gandhi's profile, but the profiles of many people across the earth.
